Meet the Founder/President

Sidnee Stone

  • Growing up on a hobby farm, I’ve had a love for animals for as long as I can remember. After spending the last several year working in the corporate world, I have decided to expand my horizons into helping animals as well. After witnessing the high-kill rate in other states and counties, it was clear to me that there is a vast, ongoing need for more rescues and the need for more people that are willing to open their hearts and homes to these deserving fur babies.
  • Being based out of the small town of Boring, Oregon, it’s easy to feel helpless when wanting to pursue rescuing animals from some of the highest-kill states (CA, TX, NC). Bringing awareness to animal neglect is what compelled me to launch The Boring Safe Haven Society

Meet the Vice President

Allison Harris

  • Originally from the suburbs of Kansas City, Missouri, animals have always been in my life on way or another. When I was younger, my sisters and I would always be getting into trouble bringing home strays animals, and that the love for rescuing those in need has followed me through adulthood. All three of my furbabies are rescues.
  • I am passionate about animals and their well-being, which is why I’m dedicating myself to the betterment of their lives.

Meet The Secretary & Director of Community Engagement

julie Stone

  • I have been a caretaker in some fashion for my entire life. Caring with compassion for siblings, family members, friends, children, and of course furbabies led me to my career in healthcare. There is a sense of pride and peace knowing that you have contributed to the well-being of another. I feel quite blessed in my life, which humbles me to give back.
  • I’m living my best life with two, beautiful children, an amazing spouse, and my love for camping, boating, gardening, sand dunes at the beach, and enjoying family. I will continue to give in all ways that I can, as there is no greater gift than the gift of giving to others.

Our Mission

Our mission is to end the neglect of dogs and cats by saving these deserving lost/abandoned/unwanted animals and creating a network of foster homes to assist in rescuing these animals from high-kill states.

Our Mission

Our mission is to end the neglect of dogs and cats by providing a second chance safe haven after a life of being lost, neglected, abandoned, and/or unwanted. We create our safe haven through a network of dedicated foster homes that assist in our rescue efforts by helping rehabilitate all animals before each animal finds their furever home.

What We Do

We provide a safe space for animals to feel a sense of belonging from a prior life of abuse, neglect, and/or abandonment. Prior to adoption, our rescues will be spayed/neutered if needed, brought up-to-date on vaccines (depending on age), dewormed, and microchipped.
